Our gatherings are practical, calm, and beginner-friendly. Here are the basics so you can arrive prepared and feel comfortable from the start.
We usually meet at the north field by the community observatory lot, with open sky and easy parking. A location note is always posted before each meetup.
Bring a warm layer, a red-light flashlight if you have one, and curiosity. Binoculars are great, and shared telescopes are available for first-time visitors.
We start with a short sky orientation, then rotate through visible targets like the Moon, bright planets, and seasonal constellations with time for questions.
